i might be going crazy. [attack of the phone]

here at work... i'm sitting in front of my computer... neffing as i do normally...
and from the corner of my eyes... i can see my phone.
my work phone has this orange led light ... that blinks when the phone rings... or when there's a voice mail message in my box.

and a few times a day... while i'm concentrating on being as creative as i can be while neffing...
i could sense with my peripheral vision that the phone is blinking orange. so i immediately turn my head towards the phone... and there's nothing. the phone just smiles back at me... and acts as if it's been sitting there so quietly.

one time, i stared at my phone for over 5 mins... just to see if it randomly blinks...
but the phone knows ... it seems to know when i'm looking at it.
it never blinks an eye.

i, in the mean time, think that i'm going crazy...
this happens a few times a day.

am i going crazy?

i think i need to put the phone in the drawer.

That happens here too. Several people have already said the same thing. We have these Lucent phones at our desks with a red light. I swear sometimes it flashes once then quits for a long time.
