I met a girl at a party yesterday

She was Japanese and when we were introduced I said "Nice to meet you" in Japanese. She was like "wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" and it was pretty damn cool. My gf is Japanese so I studied it a bit. Pretty easy language *to speak and not bad to write. Grammar is harder though*.

So just to let you guys know out there, pick up some phrases in a bunch of foreign languages and girls get really impressed.

....I wasn't hitting on her, nor would I have any intention. I was just saying how happy she was. This has happened many times with me and Japanese guys and girls

Was she really like "wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"?

What if what your girlfriend actually taught you meant 'I'm sorry, I like men"?

Sweet, all you need to work on now is moving from the impression stage to the dating stage.

I have no idea what you're smoking but Japanese is FAR from an 'easy language.' Compared to Indo-European languages it has one of the most difficult grammatical structures to learn. Sure, a few words or easy phrases are simple, but when it comes to speaking the language it's ridiculously difficult for many.

I haven't even gotten to the writing and reading...

Hate to admit it, but I was pretty impressed when my s/o busted out some Cantonese on our first date. Shocked reaction, then a "no way." It peaked my interest, and I wish he'd speak it to me more nowadays.

Err, maybe he already spoke all of the words he knows? 😛

Heh... 🙂 Nah, he spoke quite a bit when we started dating, and I know for a fact he's more fluent than I am. As of late, he hasn't spoken to me in Cantonese... I guess I like it when he speaks to me in French more, though. French = seXay 😀
