They've made huge strides in polymer development in the past 30 years. You might want to reconsider.

Yeah, metal is definitely the better cockring experience if you can handle it, you're right.

I've been contemplating this myself. Everyone makes a big deal about magnesium cases on saws, but plastic isn't so bad. It's a bit heavier, but more resilient to impact damage. It looks a little shittier when it gets scratched up, but that doesn't affect how it works. I'm pretty cool with plastic for durable goods that don't have to look nice. Frivolous stuff is where plastic pisses me off. Just more permatrash that doesn't have to exist.

Not sure where I stand on plastic bags, but I think I'm against them. They probably save energy over paper for their useful lifespan, but are a problem when they go feral. I usually don't get bags at all. I get a cardboard box when I go to aldi, and I put the stuff back in my cart at wegmans, then load it in my aldi box at the truck. If I just get a few items, I put them in my pockets.

We have some fabric bags in our cars now for grocery shopping. Kroger rolled out their Scan, Bag and Go option to our store not too long ago. Pick stuff up, scan it and put it in your bag. Once you're done head to the self checkout, scan a different barcode and your order is transferred to the kiosk for payment. Much faster and we don't end up with a bunch of plastic bags to recycle

I have a bunch of string bags I love, but I can't use them anymore. Most stores got rid of the back conveyor, so I can't bag myself, and there's a trick to using string bags. If I gave them to the clerk to use, productivity would grind to a halt.

My metal Toyota logo WITH HORNS just arrived. Cut from sheet steel. So quality. Plastic wasn't even an option.
The copper powder-coat really catches the light.

( resembles this, but coated - and this one is awfully thin at the bottom )
