sometimes i walk into the grocery stores just for bread, cheese, popcorn, or potato chips, and i see those tempting 5$ packages of whole rotisserie chicken....
well its much easier than making dinner so i just eat some 'soon as i get home.
shred the remaining chicken and store in fridge. what to do with the bones? simmer it in a pot with some carrots, onions, celery, herbs, etc to make a chicken stock (what most would think as "broth")
later on, with this stock, i par-boil some celery and carrots in it, add some sauteed onions, cook some pasta pieces in it and add the shredded chicken pieces at last to heat up. whablam... home-made chicken noodle soup.
this 5$ chicken, and some vegetables, lasts me 1 week
FTW
