I have a 17" I-Mac G5 that I'd like to output to two projectors at the same time, is this possible with its ATI 9600 128mb GPU?

i think you have to get an external switcher that can do that...one cable going from the imac to a dvi/vga box, then the box should have 1 input (imac in this case) and 2 outputs (2 projectors).
 
If you want the same image on both projectors sure, i see no reason why you can't use a VGA splitter.
