I;m a bit of a n00b to the build your pc world...

I found a motherboard (mobo as iv seen it)
GIGABYTE GA-8I865GME-775-RH-AS

it says it takes DDR 400 ram, but on newegg right next to the DDR 400 it says PC 3200

on my current pc i have PC 1600 can i use it on the new 'mobo' ?

also can i mount the Micro ATX mobo in a atx case?

PC1600 RAM will work but probably will limit your FSB, you'll have to check the manual. mATX boards will fit in ATX cases.

I would prefer the ASRock because ASRock's BIOS support is excellent. Gigabyte is often quick to discontinue BIOS support after just three or four updates, especially for boards that are well below its more profitable enthusiast models.
