Disco is a simple $29 disc burning program for OS X that I've really come to love and thought I'd share. It's basically like Nero without all the video/encoding stuff. Here are some features:

Burning (CDs/DVDs, multi-session, spanning, physical motion detection for laptops)
Ripping (DMG, ISO, or CDR)
Discography (Indexes all burned media and allows for searching for files burned)

If you need to quickly rip or burn a disc, Disco is perfect for it. It's simple, it's quick, and it "just works". Great example of how I like Mac programs to be :)

Toast is a lot more like Nero than Disco is, but then again I don't really use any of those extra features other than the burning stuff. Toast offers a lot more multimedia features, so if you need those go with toast. If you are looking for a simple burning app, then Disco is a great one to look at!

disco is just a fancy front end to disk utility basically. but i like it too. got in on the beta price.. and some other mac bundle deal... i think i came across like 3 or 4 codes.. ha.

my only disappointment, there was so much hype and talk.. and as soon as it was released.. we get nothing more.

What more do you want? It burns, it rips...what else is there? I think it's a good basic version of Toast.

A better real time burning stats mode. It still reports my dvd burning speed I believe at cd burning speeds (like 62x or something). yeah, minor, but there are still folks who don't have smoke working properly.

I'd also like to see better navigation for looking at the past burned material.

As an aside, does anyone know what else they are working on these days?
