I loved the first 2 seasons of Lost...should I catch up?

I stopped watching after season 2 and purposefully haven't read anything about the show since. WITHOUT SPOILERS, is it worth catching up on or did they screw it up?

Hard to say, it definitely goes downhill after season 2 and never gets as good again IMO.

I just watched the first 5 seasons over the past several months. Although things change quite a bit I really enjoyed it. I'm going to be bummed that it is all over after season six.

I think season 3 was pretty good, but when season 4 started I lost interest.

My wife agrees with eldorado - after season 2 - sort of thats it. I tend to agree, but I don't think you need to chuck it all. Its worth watching it on the netflix instant queue.

I suggest watching the latest recap episode, which presented everything you really need to know to understand how the last season is going to unfold...

Then watch the last season - and if grabs your attention enough, then go back and watch what you've missed..

Well, I'd watch it all... Although I have to say, there is some dreadfully boring shit in there. Just power through it though like a boss... It's got some great shit. Definitely made to be watched in ALL at once mode.

There's no doubt that the first two seasons are the best. However, I thought season 3 was pretty darn good (didn't like the first few, picked up after that. Season 4 and 5 are both pretty "out there" as someone said, but it's still very, very entertaining. I would watch it.

At least watch season 3 and see if you're re-hooked.

It's worth it. The next three seasons may not be as good as the first two, but you have to give the writers props for fitting every known sci-fi theme into one show without scaring away its' viewer base.

IMHO, last years season was as good as the first and maybe better than the second. There were some events I didn't care for but over all I liked the story.

Despite some plotlines and dialogue that could have been written by clever high school students I've enjoyed the whole thing. We've had a huge Lost party for the season finale the past few years, and it's the best party of the year. Better than the Superbowl.

People actually come into town from hours away for it.

I'll be sad when it's all done.

I don't know what it is about those episodes that makes nobody like them. It's so different and strange that you'd think everyone would be interested by it, but it didn't work out that way. I think part of it for me was feeling bad for Jack and being pissed at Kate.
