Zebco? I think thats the low end.
I like Cape Fears, Tsunami, Tica, GLoomis, Daiwa and a multitude of others.

For what it's worth, Zebco poles suck.
About all they're good for is catching small panfish. But, even then, a good quality pole is much more enjoyable.

Agreed. I'm serious about my fishing and my choice is Allstar fishing rods. I own three of them.

See the site. They rock!

For many many many years of fishing, I never knew... I used to buy fishing poles all the time, especially if I saw a decent deal at a garage sale or something. Then, I got a nice rod and real combination for xmas one year. I used that pole while fishing for bass that following summer. After a week of fishing pretty much every daylight hour, I wound up with a horrible birdsnest in the reel (my fault). I switched poles to a zebco rod/reel combo. That's when I discovered how worthless they actually are. I've since given away or thrown away nearly every crappy pole I had. (not to be confused with the Shakespeare uglystick ultralight combo I use for fishing for crappies)

Wow all these people are putting my Zebco down, I don't see how it's junk when I paid over $200 for it.

oh? They have decent models? I'm only familiar with the 202, 404, and 33
All three are crap, but good for the money ($10) for a child who is going to be fishing for pan fish.

But, if you give that kid a good pole, they may find it more exciting.

i had a rhino rod before forgetting it when packing up the raft, the rod was very sturdy,if a little heavy and rubbery.
