No release candidate that came out on Oct 27 , straight from the microsoft site, it downloads a geniunecheck.exe and gives you a validation code soo stupid pirates cant install it nor will be able to use security essentials etc. So you put in code and takes you to that site. Here is the DL link

http://fileforum.betanews.com/detai...erver-2008-R2-Service-Pack-1-SP1/1278953204/1

that takes you to MSes site to the page but you must first download geniunecheck.exe and it gives you validation then allows you to DL the Release Candidate 7601 RC Oct 27th ,, Its real snappy and interface bugs are gone,, its like what Service pack 1 did for Vista ... same kinda effect with W7 , I just call it windoz for short, but ya WIndows 7 uncle billy OS pownz.

Small warning, some applications will not install if you install sp1 because they check the version numbering and it doesn't match any of the known shipping versions of windows.

SP1 doesn't really add anything much important, mainly hotfixes. You also will have to remove it in order to install the final sp1.

Post some benchmarks

Otherwise its the same as

"With this new driver, all of my games run way smoother than the last one!!" argument with subsequent benchmarks revealing a 1fps increase on average.

SP1 doesn't really much from what I've read.

SP1 is a rollup of all previous patches, that's it.

Any performance improvements you think you are experiencing is the placebo effect.
