I love Wikipedia.

Damn it, its the best website ever. I bookmark articles that I read completely and I just checked to see that I have 4311  My latest topic of interest is the Japanese empire, culture, etc. Maybe I will donate some money in the future.

 I usually use google to search wikipedia (by just adding wikipedia to the search terms, none of that "site:" jazz). Wikipedia is often slooooooow. I should donate some money.

My other complaint about wikipedia is that the wikinerds all race to put any and all news events in any relevant article, and it ends up cluttering articles with current event items that don't really belong.

Except for those inaccuracies they have been nailed with recently.

It's a user-edited encyclopedia. There's always going to be someone who wants to be a jerk, and there's always going to be people who disagree on the contents. They have methods for resolving situations like that. I wouldn't use it as a source for a school paper (I wouldn't use any encyclopedia for that), but as far as websites go I think it's one of the most reliable sites on the Internet. And it's fun to read if you enjoy learning about history and whatnot.

I love wikipedia as well, but just make sure you take what you read on there with a grain of salt. Most of the users who submit things know just as much as the average reader. Sometimes the information can be wrong, or correct information can be edited to make it wrong.

I wouldn't use Wikipedia as a citation, but it's mostly good information.

Except for those inaccuracies they have been nailed with recently.

I was reading one article.
Someone had "humerously" edited it by adding to the end of one paragraph something like "and you smell".
So I edited it out.
