I actually think it is a little disrespectful since a lot of good men (millions) that did not necessarily believe in slavery were drafted into the war based on having the misfortune of being born in the south.
They were still Americans and served their country valiantly.

fact checking, before you post next time?
NOT millions. South used just over one million soldiers during the entire 4 year length of the war. North just over two million.
And I'm pretty sure the draft only extended into the Union states. The southern armies were pretty much all volunteer, since they were fighting for their state rights, NOT for slavery. Back then, people identified with their own state much more than they identified themselves as Americans.
Also, they did NOT serve their country valiantly, or they would have been fighting on the Union side. Their side broke away from their country, and tried to become something else. The did NOT identify as Americans, or Yankees, or anything remotely close to their country......they were Georgians, Alabamans, Texans, etc, fighting for the Confederate Army.
