I hadn't been in two years so when I went back 10 days ago they said I needed to have a new cavity filled and an old one repaired. The old one was a doozy - it was on a back tooth and it was done with metal years ago and the metal had chipped away (some but most was still there). Anyway the dentist drilled half way down my neck. It was 5-10 minutes of constant drilling to remove a buttload of metal and just hollow the damn tooth out. Now it has a nice new tooth-colored filling and 2.5 hours later the local has almost worn off.
