'96, go Yanks! btw music has been going downhill steadily, and at a phenomenal pace, since about 1980. There have been a few good bands, yes, but phlegMTV and the kidiots who watch & are controlled by it have done immesurable and likely irreversible harm.

I hate people who say that.

There is a ton of great music out there, you just need to look for it. Even back in the "good ol' days", the big radio stations played almost entirely crap music.

i enjoyed "I love the 80s" and "I love the 80s strikes back" but i think "I love the 90s" the matierial is a little thin. They do huge segments on music videos and movies that arnt really nostalgic.

I agree, they turned "I love the 90s" into episodes of Best Week Ever. They blab about stuff that happened, but don't point out anything funny about it. I can watch ILT80's over and over again, but this tripe? Nah. 🙁

Also it's just too soon to be as nostalgic about the 90's. I still find the Spice Girls and a lot of the other crap annoying, so it's not really fun to remember when they were popular.

Yep. They're spotty on the stuff that they highlight too. I Love The 80s tended to hit upon major movies that the majority of people remember and have some nostalgia for (brat pack movies, Back to the Future, etc.) and music that was pretty huge (We Are The World). I'm sorry, but while I like to poke fun at Point Break, I'm not exactly sure that even half the people watching the show have seen it.

The stupid pop-up cell phone ads for stuff at the VH1 online store bug the bejeezus out of me too.
