I was downloading at like 1.4 MBps at school one time. It didn't take very long to download Linux ISOs. :)

1651.25MB/s on OC255

Uh... wtf is OC255? OC-x transmission clock rates are as follows:

OC-3 = 155Mbps
OC-12 = 622Mbps
OC-48 = 2.4Gbps
OC-192 = 10Gbps

I've had an OC12 at work since 1998. Of course, the OC192 would be nice.

OC12 basically maxes out the speed you can write to your hard drive, if you're the only one using it. That's sick.

I get nearly that speed(10Mbit) on optimum online. Verizon's FIOS is going to offer 15/2 for 50 bucks per month.
