I love "projects"

I'm tiling my bathroom floor tonight and I'm painting the living room tomorrow. Lol, I must be nuts but I simply love have projects going on at home 😀

That's how I end up building new computers, putting a new stereo in the Jetta, figuring out GPS systems for the sony clie. Women just do things more "nesty" and less "geeky" I guess.

I used to build computers at home too 🙂

I like working with my hands, I also enjoy being able to look at something and mentally envision it the way I want it. I love the challenge of planning, figuring out how to do something 🙂

Most homeowners do.
Most homeowners also think these projects add value to their house, which they don't.

I rent, I just enjoy having things the way I like them 🙂

Two suggestions:

1) Start the tile in the middle of the bathroom by laying a centered "starter" tile. Work out towards the edges from there.

2) Ensure that you remove the toilet - rather than tiling around it.

Best of luck! 🙂

You and my dad would get along... much like your standard Tim Allen or Bob Vila, there is always something constantly going on in the house.. it's almost ridiculous.

You know you've lived in the city too long when you see that title and think the op is talking about housing authority-esque projects....

hahah, I live in Philly too. Couldn't agree more.

Funny, I thought this was a thread about a new boyfriend that needs behavior adjustments, "If I could just get him to change this one little thing, he would be perfect", is how the project usually starts out. 😛

I am in my townhouse for 3 months now and haven't done a thing to it (except changing locks and toilet seats). Too lazy for home improvement.

I finished the bathroom,I hung new curtains and made a skirt for the sink, it looks like a different room now 🙂

My next day off is devoted to painting 😀
