I eat about a pound of it a week. Is that too much? It is the natural non-sugar kind though.

I love peanut butter too. Why would it be too much? If you've got a variety of other foods as well you're fine - PB tends to be pretty good for you but no one miracle food will give you all the good nutrients.

It's awesome. The only thing you might worry about is peanut sensitivity due to overexposure. Is it a thing? Possibly.

I just ate 2 peanut butter to go cups.

Nothing is as sweet as peanut butter & maple syrup.

Peanut butter looks and tastes like a shart would.

(however, I love Reese peanut butter cups)

I love peanut butter, especially if it doesn't bear any resemblance to what actually happens to a peanut when you smash it. Organic peanut butter is clearly something someone scraped out of a cat's litter box. Give me JIF any day.

What PB are you eating? My 1lb jars of smuckers natural are 14 servings at 210 cal per serving. (2940 cal per lb)

I made a unit conversion error.

That's still 3000 freaking calories from peanut butter. Good god. I love peanut butter as a power lifter myself, but I can't imagine going through a pound of the stuff aweek.

This must not be so. You have deprived yourself of the natural brands that wish to actually make something worth our time. ;)

If you can find it (I imagine they have limited distribution capability - ordering online is always an option), I recommend you try this: http://www.krema.com/Creamy-Peanut-Butter-16-oz-Jar/productinfo/PBCRE1/

One ingredient: roasted peanuts

It is quite smooth and creamy, but it has a little more of that tongue sticks to the roof of your mouth quality. Like the other natural products, it does tend to separate a bit as well. A good first stir sets it up to stay well for awhile, so if you use it fast no refrigeration is needed. It is not needed, technically, one bit - and it does stay well in the fridge, though it loses its easy to spread nature.

I haven't had it in a long while, as I am always a fan of Jif and it is more agreeable to my wallet to buy that at Costco. That, and when others are using it, it helps for them to agree with the peanut butter choice.

Two servings a day isn't TERRIBLE, provided your nutrition for the rest of the day matches up.

I'd rather get other nuts in there than rely solely on peanuts, like almonds. And I wouldn't really recommend any more than two servings from nuts, nutritionally.

That much nut-originated nutrition from peanut butter would worry me regarding the potential impact of phytoestrogens, but that's a hot topic and the jury is apparently still out. :\

Overall nutritionally, that's not terrible. I'm assuming that proper choices are made on total caloric consumption for the day, and that the fat and proteins are balanced well. Even better if that is involved in an active lifestyle where said nutrients can be utilized in synthesis and recovery.

YOU GTFO!

Seriously......gtfo. Creamy ftw.

I've never understood crunchy. My family is split on the issue (which just means more creamy for me!). PB should be creamy...it's a spread. If I wanted to eat chunks, I'd just eat the peanuts themselves

Yeah, this. I can make crunchy in my mouth, I have to outsource creamy.

I remember when I was angry at the dog I would put PB on a knife and let the dog lick it off and it would be licking back and forth on it's lips for like an hour trying to get it all. Such a mean kid I was. :(

Creamy is for wimpy little sissy boys who still have their delicate little baby teeth.

Men with thick beards and testicles the size of cantaloupes prefer crunchy because it's like grinding the bones of your vanquished enemies between your teeth.

You know what tasty treat you get when you crush said bones?

Creamy, creamy marrow.

It's at the center of all things holy.

There is no argument. Accept the facts: creamy wins. Creamy always wins. :D

We put peanut butter in a kong for our pooch from time to time.

You mean you are still depriving your dog of that divine creamy confection know as peanut butter?

And that behavior you saw is known as savoring. Savoring the sweet, sweet taste o' victory, aye. :)
