I love PC gaming...

I've been in and out of it for many years mostly playing shooters and got bored...

My son told me I should try Assassin's Creed and I am having such a good time...

Finished AC2, playing AC Brotherhood, have Revelations and Black Flag to go...

After that I have Skyrim...

I'm really glad I stopped limiting myself to JUST shooters, really enjoying hanging out wit Leonardo Davinci...

Are you crazy? Console games are where it's at. Even Skyrim looks better on a 360 and is cheaper. Long live the console master race.

Every once in a while I get burned out and need a break, but I always come back.

PS3 sits there collecting dust.

Yea same here. I got one last christmas with good intentions, but I've really only played 2 games on it since I've had it.

It's nice having backwards compatibility too. Not just being having certain games not work, but then the company offering you to resell the digital version of the game that works with their console.

I was huge into shooters from the first Wolfenstein (shareware) up to Battlefield 3. Competed in ET, Tribes, Quake, Battlefield 2, and others, including going to many LAN parties.

Now I haven't hardly touched a shooter in years. Stupid leveling, experience, perks, and upgrades have ruined the genre imo. While I miss the good old days of 'everyone having the same abilities and weapons', even when one of those comes out these days, it barely holds my attention for more than four hours.

I guess you just get burned out on the same thing over and over. All the AAA shooters I've bought over the last few years, my longest played time is 12 hours for one of them.

After BF BC2, I quit with online multiplayer FPS. The new direction they have went just bores me to tears. I do still play the occasional single player campaign of a few.

I love Gaming, wether it's on my pc, 3ds, ps3, ps4, dreamcast, wii, or any other device i might come across that has decent games

Just don't get Unity, just keeps getting worse. I completed it, but it was rather frustrating. Wait for $5 or less. And a new pc lol. Black Flag was my fav, but haven't played Brotherhood or Revelations yet. People seem to not like III that much either, but I loved the setting and enjoyed it.

Also the Batman games. Those are almost always stupid cheap, and some of the best modern games imo.

OP is in for a treat. I recommend browsing this very forum, there have been a few threads with many great suggestions for people getting back in the loop.

I'm going back to gaming on the PC. Console gaming on the Xbox 360 was fun while it lasted, but the price of console gaming is going up and content and customer service are going down.

I've got a few games and I am glad to see the flexibility and choices of PC gaming. The big negative for me so far has been Steam. I've only had it a couple weeks and I already have problems accessing my account. I filled out a support ticket, I hope they get around to it in the next month or so. So, I'm stoked to see the wide range of PC games, but I'm bummed because I'm sketched to buy any of them until I get the Steam problems straightened out.

Whether it be on PC or console, it is easy for me to see why the gaming industry is going down the shitter and the average person would rather play games on their phone or Facebook.

What's to love? Trash AAA ports that barely work, ballooning bloated game sizes, same old generic re-skinned annual crap, DLCs and micro-transactions - what is so special? Steam specials on old ass games? Indies made for a $1.50? Consoles are little better, there is nothing upcoming I can see to actually make it worth buying one. In 2015 I can see GTA V, Dying Light and Witcher 3 for PC . . . . in the whole year (then Christmas 2015 for Ass Creed No 15 and CoD No 18). What is the point anymore?

I remember the PS2 actually had fresh interesting games like the Suffering and Manhunt. Something DIFFERENT. What do we have in 2014? Watch Dogs is a flop, what else is new? May as well sell my boxes, buy an Ipad, and watch Xvideos all day . . . . . .
