I love painkillers

Just went into the dentist because my tooth hurts soooo fricken bad. He thinks it's a sinus infection but it's 100% sure. So he put me on some stronger sinus medication and also gave me painkillers! woohooo 😀

I feel kinda dizzy right now. My tooth feels ok and I really feel like I need to sleep but I don't want to waste the weekend.

I was reading on the bottle that alcohol intesifies the effect.....

Got any  Zim? 😀

Just went and got the painkillers to check and just about tipped over because I'm so dizzy 😕

I've got Hydrocodone BT-Ibuprofen

Yeah, don't drink more than like 3 beers or you'll pass out if it's strong enough meds, what did you get?
He didn't get any benzodiazapines, although you want to watch the alcohol anyway because alcohol and pain pills is hell on your liver.

heh i got a prescription of darvicet and ultram sitting here. the ultram works great but no cool side-effects heh

Well he didn't say that till now.

Vicoprofen doesn't have APAP in it so it's not THAT horrible but yes alcohol plus that will def. be hard on your liver.

I dunno what all the hype on painkillers are. I got Vicodin for my ankle surgery, and I don't think it really did anything (still felt pain after the sciatic block wore off).

Actually I don't drink, so it's not a problem. 😉

Would be funny to pop one of these pain pills in then go over to a friends house and open a can of beer. Take one drink and then passout, lol.

Wouldn't happen with that med, but it will increase the effects 😛
Go roll a J

You didn't take enough and/or the hydrocodone was actuatly doing what it was supposed to do. Try it when you don't have any pain😀

I could easily fall asleep in 30 seconds if I closed my eyes right now. This stuff is making me pretty drowsy.

You'd have to be a pretty incompetent doctor to perscribe benzos for pain😛😉

So what's the whole story behind Vicodin? Is it supposed to act like a drug? Asking b/c I never used Vicodin but seen in some movie that teens were looking for Vicodin to have fun, and I can't understand WTF it was about.

Maybe he had anxiety from the pain? 😀

I was initially taking 2 pills every four hours (that's the most you can prescribed). I pretty much was on it all day, and still felt pain.

There are many ways to potentiate the action of opiates.

1. The ingestion of antihistamines approximately 1/2 hour before taking the opiate will intensify its effect - this is very safe, as evidenced by one manufacturers use of both antihistamine and opiate in the same preparation (for precisely this effect). See Tussionex

2. The ingestion of an antacid 1/2 hour before taking an opiate, lengthens the duration of the opiate's effects by slowing down absorption.

3. NSAIDs (no-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like Aleve will give extra "warmth" to an opiates effects.

It's an opiate like heroin, though much less potent. Used in treating pain.

So that's it? I guess I won't find it at a drug store then. And what, do they have to consume regular (prescribed) or extra amounts of it to get a buzz, like double the doze or something? How dangerous it is if slightly overdosed then?

No, I forget the Federal schedule but it's illegal to have w/o a prescription.

Regular amounts will get you a "buzz", maybe some euphoria, not a whole lot. Doubling it or more will increase the effects.

Not too dangerous if it's slightly overdosed, though that's a general statement. It depends on the person's tolerance, body, and the dosage.

I used to have a bit of a problem with those Percocet. 15 in one night along with a 6 pack. I felt pretty damned good except for a horrid itch all over my body.
