I detest naps. I have always woken up from a nap three times more groggy and tired than I did before I took it. It ruins the rest of my day and I cannot get anything done. If I cannot get at least 5 hours of sleep, I'm better off not doing it. I get so disorented with the naps too. Suppose I get up at 7 am every day and go to work at 7:30. Suppose I take a nap at 7 pm and wake up at 8 pm. I see the clock read 8:00 and panic - I must be late for work! I rush to the closet, throw on clothes, grab my stuff, and rush out to the car. Only then do I notice it is dark and it must still be in the evening. That happens with at least 80% of the naps I take. THAT is how disorented naps make me. And for some reason I never get out of that horrible groggy, disorented state for the rest of the evening. However when I just skip the nap I'm slightly tired but still perfectly functioning.
