I love my university...

today we have beautiful weather... so the food services people set up a little bbq stand on one of the lawns, and they're selling food at pretty good prices. you can bbq chicken breast for $4 or bbq bratwurst for $3, along with all the cole slaw you want + a can of pop. i dunno i just find little things like that cool... it's really good food too, just the right amount of bbq sauce, and the only cole slaw that i have ever liked in my entire life. and you get to see a ton of eye-candy as you wait in line... ah how i love the women...

not to mention my dept (cse) is getting a brand new building in a few months 😀 ah i can't wait

the suck is that our budget from the state just got reduced by $41 million. 🙁 thankfully our new building is funded mostly by private donations (the building will be called paul g. allen center for computer science and engineering.... you do the math) 🙂

and did i mention we're the home of IMAP and PINE? 😀

feel free to post about why you like your university...

Yeah, I'd have to agree - the more I think about the past 4 years, college life is really, really cool - only one more year to go for me . . . 🙁🙁🙁

this seems to be commonplace now. The state governments are cutting education expenses because they are the largest and easiest. Yet, they wonder why students arent doing as well, and why the drop out rate is increasing. IMHO the public should have to specifically vote on whether they can cut funding to education.

lol

you left the uw? did you graduate... or transfer...?

transferred. I'm friends with Darein and Zakath15, who are still up there 🙂

I love the UW, but being involved in the economics department is depressing. Maybe joining the Business dept. will change that a little.

well i think in our case it has a lot to do with this whiny little f*ckhead that keeps on introducing initiatives for elimination of taxes and fees regarding vehicles and property. most cuts are coming out of education and public transportation... which this guy doesn't care about since he's old and rich. meanwhile everybody else sees "lower taxes" and goes "ooh" and votes for it. ugh.
