I love my seagate

I was looking for a new SATA HD on newegg.com and I was wondering why Seagate only offers 1 yr warrantys on their drives which are larger than 120 GB while drives at or under 120 GB come with a 3 yr warranty. Whats even stranger is that the 1 yr warranty seagates are more expensive than competing maxtor and western digital drives. Whats up with that??!

Check this out , it seems Anandtech thinks you should buy another, it was their alternative choice (behind the Raptor) for their high-end system. Oddly though, it says one of the reasons they picked it was because of the three year warranty - strange.

yeah, I would gladly pay the premium if it came with the three year warranty...

AT reccomends an IDE drive, I might just go with that, but I was hoping to take advantage of my SATA RAID capablities 🙁
