I just upgraded to an Abit nf-m2 nview mainboard with an athlon 64 x2 65 watt 5000+ cpu and a gig of mushkin ddr2 800 ram. it was a bit of a bitch to get going but once I did wow very fast and cool. I even get a 200 mhz oc with no issues and it runs cool at 44 c.

a big improvement from my old xp2600 mobile setup.
I am pleased
 
You aren't kidding oldman...I went from an A64 3400+ to an X2 4400+ and noticed a HUGE difference. I love my C2D system but, needless to say, the initial jump from single core to dual core was great. I don't expect to get the same improvement when I go to a quad, but it'll be fun nonetheless. 🙂

yes they were When I pulled the poor old thing out I noticed it was chipped on the upper edge even with the chip it still did 2300 mhz thats a 500 mhz oc on a chipped cpu.
