Man, I really wish I could get Ubuntu, or any other distro for that matter, to work on my system. I've got a new HP DV5 laptop, and the new ABGN wireless network interface card that is installed in there will only work with the latest kernels, and it only works once. After I shut down the machine, I have to disassociate from the AP, and the re-connect everything, including inputting the password.

Hmm, I have a Dell XPS1330 with the Intel 4965 and it works everytime with Ubuntu 8.10

I've got an HP Pavilion dv5, and it's got the Intel 5100 NIC, and that doesn't seem to work properly. I'm going to wait until there's a fix for it, until then, unfortunately, I'm stuck with Vista
