....I thought one should be positive! I've got one white chick who delivers on Saturdays, and one black chick who delivers through the week. They both love me because I tip, and I flirt. So no lost packages!

You should try the tip thing, it really makes them happy and they'll go out of their way for you. The flirting thing....well if your driver is male.........unless you're into that, which is cool then.

It depends on the package and time of year, but yeah, usually a five. Handing them ones just seems tacky.

i try to tip the ups guy for heavy packages but they won't accept it. I can't tip him every time he comes because depending on the month he's at my house 2 times a week.

I would not either UNLESS it is a very large/heavy item and they bring it up better then average. Its not like a pizza guy. They don;t have to pay for their car, gas, wear and tear, etc... Also they make a LOT more then Min. wage, unlike most pizza drivers.

Funny, I've never had a package lost and I don't tip them. Do you think they go out of their way to lose your packages if you don't tip? Paying someone $5 for delivering a package that probably only cost $5-10 to ship in the first place is absurd.

I'm sure they're laughing all the way to the bank though.

I've never heard of tipping parcel service people. I tip pizza delivery people though. When I was in college, there was this cute girl that delivered to my area almost every time I ordered pizza. My roommates and I ate a lot of pizza so we'd order several times a month. I always tip her well and my pizzas have never arrived late/cold.
