Am watching "24" and during the break saw a new Vista vs. Mac OSX ad...the Windows dude and Mac dude are there playing "spin the wheel". Good stuff.

They don't have to right...only effective...and I hear more and more stories of people migrating to Macs. MS has a sh!t marketing campaign by comparison.

that's distributors though (dell, hp, acer, etc.)

i'd say the ad with the security guard is the funniest/most truthful

when watching heroes i saw one about the upgrade to vista and more incompatible hardware.. such bs, considering when apple went to OSX, they said STFU to everyone beyond a certain hardware stage. MS can't do that.

I dunno, iPod sold itself and now Apple is using the absurd success of that fluke to push their other products.

On my end I don't hear any stories of people moving to mac, all I hear is how funny or entertaining the commercials are, then they go right on using their PCs.

Why does MS need a marketing campaign for Windows at all?
 
that one commercial where at the end, PC is like "let's calculate how much time you just wasted" I always thing to myself QFMFT.

those commercials do nothing but make me want to buy a PC... the Mac guy is such a hipster punk.
 
The funny thing is, they're completely and utterly crap, nothing they say on them is true. It'd be like if I showed a tv ad saying the sky is green.
 
I just cant wait if/when Macs get popular and people start making viruses for them. I will love to see what Apple does then.

BTW, these ads really make my blood boil.

really? but they did do that. minimum vista requirements are still above what some people will have. and these people will try and put vista on it and complain that it's too slow. this happens with every major OS. at a certain point, you gotta draw the line.
 
they need a pc better than mac commercial. they could play a new one everyday for 5 years and still smack the mac
