works in mozilla and also IE, and who know what other browsers, but, when you want to type a new address, instead of moving the mouse up there and clicking, press F6!!!!

YES!!!!!!!

if you havent clicked anything on the page, usually tab works, I've never had a problem with it.

Tab works in netscape and mozilla to automatically fill in the dot com part

and thanks for the tip about F6 to highlight the address bar

I likewise try to use as many keyboard shortcuts as I can

They are all definite time savers :D

I have recently switched over to Mozilla as right clicking on a web page in IE6 doesn't allow you to open
a page in a new frame so you can see the URL

I also like right-clicking on shortcuts and making hotkeys. I sometimes mucho time on a computer without ever using the mouse.

Ctrl-Alt-E, IE opens up. F6 and i type in an address. page down to view, tab and space bar to choose.

yeah, I've also been using ALT + D. That way I don't even need to move my hand.
