😛 I don't have it that often, and I honestly smell ok. My other friend who lives down the street though, I don't think he has discovered deoderant yet.

I love it, too. And you seriously would not believe how much I consume -- I ate 18 cloves last night so I am stuck at home today 😱

His sister obviously doesn't stay 20 feet away from him at all times. 😕 At least not in his dreams. 😀

ups

Have you ever been to Gilroy? I've been several times and the place really smells like garlic.

Oh, and I LOVE garlic. My boyfriend's family was over today and we made homemade pizza. The air smelled of garlic and onions for the sauce. 😀

I was through there a few years back, not at festival time though. I would like to see that someday.

two garlic tips

take about three big cloves of garlic, smash'em up good, and put them in some olive oil (several tablespoons)
let the oil sit for about an hour..use the olive oil for cooking, over a salad, anything you want..fresh garlic infused olive oil...yum

take an entire head of garlic...shave off a little front the pointy end, so most of the garlic cloves are visible
drizzle some olive oil over the whole thing, wrap it up in aluminum foil, stick it in the toaster oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes..
squeeze the ROASTED GARLIC into anything you want...super mellow..yummm.....best garlic mashed potatoes..add entire head of roasted garlic to 5 lbs of
cooked potatoes, mash'em up, add 1/2 stick of butter, and enough heavy cream (usually a little carton) to reach the consistency you like. also mash in
about 2 teaspoons of sea salt or kosher salt (to taste)....yikes..you won't be able to stop eating these!

Heartsurgeon, I like your name here and your suggestion for making tasty mashed potatoes. But, if you're a heart surgeon, those potatoes sure sound fattening ... and not so good for one's heart. But, I'll take a serving. 😀 😀

Road trip!

I went a few years ago and it was awesome! OMG the food is the best. They have garlic everything, even ice cream. You smell the garlic as soon as you get near town, it's just wafting in the air everywhere. First thing in the morning these jogging freaks go running by dressed in giant cloves. It's a good time. Another good food festival is the strawberry one in Oxnard.
