I love Antec cases

They have nifty spots to hide cables and I even think said spots are there on purpose. Everytime I open one of mine up, I find a new spot to stash a power line, etc. Tonight I was working in my SX635 and found a spot on the motherboard side of the 5.25" bays just wide enough for ATA cables. Great for someone like me who much prefers cablegami to round cables. I think when done properly, my ribbon cables tucked against the side of the case will give better airflow than those round cables that are all the rage in Paris. But I digress. Even my older KS280 case is able to do some neat stuff. A bit more of a pain in the butt to use but I can install my hard drives backwards in the cage and run wires behind the front bezel. Okay, so I'm sure that's not how the Antec designers had planned for that to go. Now on to my question. There is that purple piece to the inside of the front bottom. It can be seen in this picture. What do you guys/what is it designed for? I just wove the front panel cables through it to kill some of the slack.
Cheers go out to Antec!

That is a support for full length expansion cards. In the early days of the PC almost every expansion card was long enough to reach from the back of the case to that guide. It is so the ends of the cards don't sag and touch each other. Probably the only expansion cards that are still available that are full length cards are special purpose industrial use cards (I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong).

I have always removed that bracket in my cases.

Cheers to Antec! I love my Antec SLK3700AMB, cheap, great features, and 2x120mm fans is quiet. I know what you mean about stashing cables, there's a million out of the way places. I personally stash the slave end of my idea round cable under the HDD cage so it doesnt ruin airflow.

That card holder is long gone from both of the Antec cases in my house. I'm still wondering why all the plastic is purple in the first place. Really, how much purple plastic does one see on a regular basis, unless looking inside an Antec (or Chieftec or Chenming or whatever)?

Haha yeah, the new Realizm cards from 3DLabs look like monsters. Perhaps those Mylex RAID cards too; looks like they have handles on them.
Regarding the purple, well it seems that color is called Antec purple because they use that on a lot of their products. At least it looks okay in there.

That thiny came in mighty handy for keeping the case wires out of the way. I ran the power cables and led/switch wires through that and it cleaned up the huge piles of cables I had in the bottom of my case.
