My order has been taking a while to ship, so I sent them an email. Here was their response:

Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.com.

I've checked into your order and see that the shipping instruction
to "group my items into as few shipments as possible" was selected
during the order process. This option can extend the estimated ship
date for your order beyond the individual item availability estimates
which are listed on our web site.

I'm very sorry that your order has been delayed. We normally obtain
this item from a supplier who can usually send it to us within
availability as listed on our web site from the time your order is
placed; however, in this case, the supplier took longer than expected
to respond to us, and we do apologize for that.

Currently, we are waiting to ship your item until we receive "Sony
Cybershot DSCS90 4.1 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom ."

Due to the circumstances surrounding your order, I have made a
exception to our standard policy.

To help compensate you for this unexpected change, I have upgraded
the shipping method for this order to express shipping at no
additional charge.
The estimated delivery date displayed in Your
Account for this shipment is now February 24, 2006.

I hope this solution is satisfactory. We appreciate your business
and look forward to your next visit to our store.

That's still another 9 days off. Jeez. At least they did something for you though.

I usually end up buying from the Amazon market place instead of them directly.
