I messed up and lost my taskbar. I figured out how to put a new panel up top but I really want it at the bottom of my screen. How do I fix this?

I want it where the blue arrow is pointing and not the red

Right click on your panel, add new panel, drag panel to the bottom of the screen. You can add a system tray applet and all that good stuff. It works like that in Fedora, I'm assuming Ubuntu is the same.

when you right click the panel and hit properties, it has choice of orientation in there.

You can't drag the bars when they're expanded.
