****! I lost my keys.

I spent half an hour looking for them, but I have no idea where they are. I used them last to unlock my office at about 10am.

I don't even care about replacing the keys, I'm more annoyed at the loss of the wicked-awesome football-shaped key fob I was given when after a victorious England match.

Hopefully they turn up.

I haven't seem them, the only thing I've found lately is a 512 SD card.

Maybe put up posters with your address and a request to leave them on your kitchen table.

I fvcking hate when that happens. Last time, I lost them on bourbon street during halloween. Took a cab to my friend's house and no one would get up to let me in at 5am...ended up sleeping on the bench on their porch (still dressed as pimpbot 3000) until another friend got back and let me in. It was miserable.

waaa

did you leave them at the Hair stylist's?

I once left a small bong and pullover jacket in an Amsterdam 'coffee' shop

then 3 days later I stumbled drunk out of a Munich pub and dumped the contents of my unzipped wallet-necklace onto the street including my drivers license passport and hotel key

luckily some gorgeous local girl came running after me with my stuff, after I ignored her for 10 seconds thinking she was a prostitute or other tourist scammer

Do You Drop Your Keys... Just Anywhere?
  • Years ago, I had a friend who came over every once in a while. He would always toss his keys on an end table, the coffee table or kitchen counter.
  • A couple months ago, I was at Chi-Chi's for dinner. I saw a group of people sit down around a big table on a platform. One guy at the end sat his keys, cigarettes and lighter up on the edge of a planter.
  • Yesterday, I was at an open house at my son's school. We sat next to our child during class. One woman came in a bit late and sat next to her daughter, across from me. She sat her keys on her daughter's desk.

I have zero tolerance for waiting around while somebody searches for missing keys, wallets, purse or what have you. Setting that stuff out in the open in a strange setting is even worse! Is it just me, or does that seem like a REALLY lousy habit to get into?
