I lost my checkbook and I don't know what to do.

Today I lost my checkbook either at the bank or at the grocery store and I'm not exactally sure what I should do. I never write checks so it shouldn't be a problem to see a check come in but still unsure of what to do. I don't remember bringing the checkbook into the grocery store so I don't think I lost it there. I believe I was holding it, and set it down at one of the tellers (BTW I'm a guy) she then had me move to three different teller spots and thats how I think I lost the book. Any ideas?

It's called a telephone, pick it up and call the bank and tell them you lost it and ask what their policy is on that.

contact your bank immediately

Deposit extra money into the checking account in case somebody forges your signature. Then you won't have to pay a bounced check fee.

Or call the bank and let them know you have runaway checks out there.

Post your credit card number plus expiration date plus security code on here in case you left one in your checkbook.

Call the bank and they will be able to cancel all of the checks. Knowing banks they will probably charge you something. Good luck, hope they pop up.
