I don't know what, if any, protection is on these back ups. My apartment recently flooded from a fire sprinkler pipe that burst and I lost a lot of things. I wasn't in town when this happened. My laptop is safe, but my external drive got thrown out during the clean up process and I'm told bums or trash pickers picked it out. I'm not sure if the drive was working, but it is conceivable it is. I have passwords saved on my system, and thus would all those back ups on that drive. I've changed all my passwords since, but I'm too tired and stressed to know if I should take any additional measures at this point. I think I'Thanks for any input.

It's all in the clear I think:( unless you used filevault:( [which would make time machine useless anyways]

Your keychain might be safe but your files probably aren't

If the drive is still working, anyone can boot it up with a Leopard install disc and look through all the files.
