Well, chalk up another computer part dead at my hands. This time it was my old KT7a-raid motherboard. I think this was suicide, however. I had just recently put the motherboard into a different case and powered it up. Things were looking good and it was starting to boot into windows when I heard a thunk from inside the case. The Zalman heatsink that I had attached to the northbridge about a year and a half ago had fallen off and landed on my video card! :Q Nothing happened right away, so I shut the computer down in mid-boot and reattached it. It didn't seem very solid, no clicks of the pins going through the holes around the heatsink, but it didn't fall off. I powered up again and got nothing. Cleared CMOS, nothing. Tried the original hsf on the northbridge, nothing.

Hopefully I can find one of these boards in the FS/FT, or something like it. I need raid, I need sdram support, and I need it to support at least a tbird... oh and did I mention it needs to be cheap? :)

Jeez beatle, do you need some mitten-clips for these things? Allright, what did it look like and where did you last see it?

Pretty much. I'm also still struggling with this NV7-133R that I've had for the past few months that continues to lock up in BIOS and memtest.
