I lose internet on my desktop when I plug in my iphone

I just got a new computer with W7 and today tried to plug in and sync up with itunes. As soon as I plug the cord into the phone, I lose all wireless on the computer and have to do a hard reboot to get things going again. I googled around and can't seem to find anyone with this issue, but maybe my search skills are teh fail right now since I'm frustrated.

Anyone experienced this or know what to do? I tired plugging into different USB ports and that didn't work. Restarted both phone and computer, no dice.

So at this point you have tried all the USB ports? Something similar has happened to me, a static charge on the iPhone has turned off my desktop.

When you unplug the iphone do you get wireless back? Have you tried disabling and re-enabling the wireless either when the iPhone is plugged in or after it is unplugged?

Are you using the latest version of iTunes? Is your desktop fully up to date?

Tried all USBs, yep.
Have to reboot in order to get wireless back.
Tried to re-enable the wireless, that part is locked up after the phone is plugged in.
latest itunes, just d/l yesterday, and yep on the W7 part



Seems weird.

Is your wireless a usb wireless adapter? If not sounds like a hardware issue. Are you using usb hub? doesnt sound like a windows or a iphone issue.

Is this a new OEm or home built system? I think Keypox might be right, this sounds less like Windows/iPhone problem and more like a mobo issue.

Wireless is a usb adapter. It's a home built system, but started with a shuttle barebones. itunes is detecting my eleventy billion songs right now, so I don't want to mess with it right now. If I try all these things again, all I can think is to uninstall and reinstall itunes.

Have you tried switching the USB wireless adapter to another port?
Have you tried unplugging it before plugging in the iPhone and then plugging it back in?
Have you tried plugging and unplugging it disconnects?
Is it connected through a hub?
-If not, have you tried it on a hub?
Is there room in your system for a PCI wireless card inside your case?
-If yes, do you have the cash to buy one to try out?
Do you have another computer that you can test this wireless adapter and iPhone on?

It seems to be some sort of conflict between the wireless adapter and the iPhone, something like an IRQ conflict of old, which would speak to a Windows problem. What driver are you using for the wireless adapter, the one that came with it, or the one that Windows provided?

sounds like you dont have enough power on the usb's....

try only having phone and wireless in.

iphone needs usb-powered port to work properly and you cant plug iphone to usb hub it will not work that way and same thing with wireless usb adapter must be plugged to non-powered usb port...it works fine for me before.

My iPhone has ONLY been plugged into hubs since day one (unless I am reading your "sentence" wrong.)
