[rant] Anyone who has worked in a call center has doubtless met these gits. People who call up because their life sucks, so they have to whine at you for as long as they can keep you. If you hit 'goodbye' (by accident of course) they'll just call back, seconds later, and get you or some other employee. My most recent whining moron was in Ohio. Had he been closer I would visit him and see if I could imaprt some manners.
[/rant]

Now, honestly, I meet a lot of decent people here. If somebody has honst questions, I don't mind spending the time even if I don't make a sale. But some of these people! I swear that he would have been a lot more polite if this were face-to-face, if only because of how angry he was getting me.

This rant sucks because you don't give us an approximate, yet hopelessly exaggerated transcript of the call.

are they jammy gits, or just regular gits? Do the more brasive ones get promoted to "wankers?"

Welcome to the real world. Everyone who deals with customers hates them. Customers = PITA's. Just be creative in thinking of ways to screw over the customers you don't like.

Oh, if you insist :)

Synopsis: Customer called me up. Another salesdrone had already set him up an order for our product. He had gotten abusive with her so she wound up just maneuvering off the phone to escape his sh!t. When he called me, he was very demanding, telling me that he wanted me personally to remove his information from the system (which I did) and write him a letter on official stationary telling him that it was removed. When I explained that I was a salesman and couldn't do that but would send him to someone who could, he started interrupting, insulting my intelligence, honsty and competence. Once he had sputtered himself out, I transferred him to my benighted manager, who had to sit through the whole whining performance again. It turns out that he had never wanted our product in the first place. I'm not sure why he signed the contract and gave us his CC if he didn't want it, but there you are.

I love the customers who say "I am going to talk to my lawyer".

I just think to myself "Sure you are".

If I had a dime for everytime I have heard that, I would be very well off.

Oh, yeah, lawsuits were mentioned. I wish that he would, really, as he had already signed a contract that would let our lawyers rape him but good. *warm fuzzy*
