Has this happend to anyone else? does any one know why there are two I386 directories??

I noticed too that when SP2 was installed, it unpacked to c:\temp\i386. This i thought was odd because i have a dual boot win98/win2k (c drive/d drive). It all installed ok and on the restart the c:\temp\i386 directory was gone.

I think it will be safe to delete the directory, but just to be on the safe side try renaming it first. As long as you have a boot disk, and then if something has gone wrong with the upgrade and the files in the new i386 directory are needed, then you can just put the boot disk in your system and change the name of the directory back to what it was before.

Hope this helps..

I did however overlook somthing i did ealier I had downloaded digital wizard to manage downloads. I'm not to sure how this software works but it is sitting next to the /temps folder in my H: drive and it appears to have allocated some sort of space for my downloads im not to sure how this is going to work quite yet i'll have to wait and see.
