I like a wide variety of music. I have a few Yanni discs. There are a couple tracks that really stand out, Keys to the Imagination and Swept Away.

I listen to Kitaro, Yanni, Mannheim Steamroller, and other New Age artists. What does that make me? Actually I listen to everything. from Me First and the Gimme Gimme's to Gunther Levi's "You Touch my Tra La La... my Ding Ding Dong!"

listen to what you like and screw what everyone else thinks, like what the presence said.

now that i said that -
most of ATOT think Tool is the best band/music created ever. of course, they are just tools themselves and wouldn't know good music if it bit them on the ass.

Tool is good. Dream Theater is way better.

Partially true, but saying that Tool ISN'T a great band is kinda ignorant - whether you personally like them or not. As far as Yanni, it's not quite my bag of tricks, but whatever floats your boat man. I listen to a lot of Ani DiFranco, and if that doesn't make me gay, I think you're in the clear with Yanni.

As a pretty big heavy metal / rock fan I can honestly say that there is very little that sounds just like Tool. They're one of the more progressive metal/alt metal bands that has had some pretty innovative sounds - sans 10,000 Days which is pretty much a Lateralus remix - not saying it's not good, it is, just not new. Honestly, Maynard has a pretty distinct vocal style and Tool has a pretty solid drummer, one of the better in heavy metal. To sit there and say they sound like all other crap is simply ignorant of the metal genre. You may not like heavy metal music, but Tool is hardly just another typical metal band.

I like Yanni. Here are some good songs:

The Rain Must Fall
Renegade
Nightingale
On Sacred Ground
Highland

FYI, he composed the theme song of The Last Of The Mohecan movie.

<<<------- is a music lover of all kind of music, from heavy metal to smooth jazz.

You sure about that? I've never heard that. I also cannot find information on the web (IMDB, WIKI, Amazon) to support your statement.
