I like steams concept, but for small games if they can be had at Mini clips, is best to buy there

I was debating on buying Monster Truck Nitro. I got the demo off steam and son and I just fell in love with it almost right away, one of a few few games that made me want to buy it right away and pay full price for. But I just hate having to buy a game 3-4 times so we all can play it. Sure with steam I can give my kids access to my account, but that wont do me any good when I want to play a different game and they want to play it and Im booted out of steam in mid game.

so I bought the game, at full $20 price, off of Miniclips website, and to ind out I can install it with my credential on all my kids Pc's including mine, and we can all play at the same time as well. Why the hell cant steam do this and be more family open? Id buy more games off of them if they did for there is a bunch o games Id like to buy, but if wouldnt be fair me to get them, and have my kids going "Hey POPS we want it too", but we can afford to pop out another $30-$50 a head for the kids, and my wife too if she wants it, and its kinda bull shit to make a family go buy the game over and over and over again so they can play together. You dont buy a family board game over and over again from the store, so why would a family game bought for use within a family setting be any different? I can see if I got it and handed it to a friend so he could install it on his and so forth, but to make a family buy it over and over, thats just wrong. It would be like buying the board game from the store and getting only one player piece in the box, forcing you to go back and buying more player pieces at $40 a pop if you want little Bob and Mary Sue to play with you.

But I do know that from now on before I go and hit the buy button at steam on the Indie games, or other little ones we like, I may have to do a quick search and see if I can get it for the same price, or close, somewhere else so I may be able to run the one game on more then one pc and still be legit in doing so.

Never heard of "min iclips" so odds of them going out of business tomorrow are at least 10x higher than Steam. 🙁

FYI, Good Old Games / gog.com offers cheap DRM-free games. Buy the kids some Fallout 1-2 to train them for the coming apocalypse 🙂

I think he means Miniclip.

Ah, a PopCap like casual games company.

You might want to check Amazon's new games store (of their own games), funboy6942 to see what the terms are. Games are $10 or less and supposedly all have demos.

AH yes, amazon, I forgot about that, and they allow you to add computers to allow them to download the games you buy! I got in on the free games they had few months back, got like 4 games for nothing, they have one free game still right now, check the free forum, or just go there and put free game in the search bar, but yeah, your right, thanks for the reminder, and they got a demo for every single game they sell too.

And yes I was meaning Miniclip, great site for free web based games if you dont want to catch a virus or adware crap.
