I like Mozilla Firebird but...

Better question is, "Is anyone still running Win98SE?"

Hell, you don't have to install buggy software to get it to crash weekly or even daily.

Oh, and Opera owns Firebird/Mozilla.

It really doesn't.

Opera is pay, Mozilla is free.
Opera is buggy and has crashes, Mozilla is basically crash-free.

'nuff said.

lol.

Actually MyIE is the best browser, features, customizable but its based on the IE engine which isn't quite as fast. I use it anyways cuz its so cool.

Anyone ever considered that he doesn't want to spend the money on 2K/XP or break the law by Juarezing it?

Besides, I've found 98SE pretty stable in my experiences. I've had a machine run for three weeks before it needed a reboot (thanks to Daikatana)

be sure to call guinness to put that one down in the record books. 😛

anyhow he's talking only about his browser crashing, and if he wants more stability for the browser he has the most to gain upgrading his OS.

you != teh 1337z0r. Mozilla = 1337 h4x0r status. wooot woot.😛

Riprorin, you might want to use one of the nightly builds...they're a good bit more stable than the latest release version. I'm using the build from 072103, and it's been stable as a rock.

still using the official 0.6 launch, not a nightly build.

the only time it's ever crashed on me is loading a QuickTime clip.

I've also been using the official .6 build since the day it was released and it's only crashed once on me. That's one crash in over two months on a browser that's running over 12hrs/day and used for at least 8hrs/day. I'd say that was stable.

Opera is good, but it doesn't own Mozilla Firebird. MB is a hassle free, no frills, lightning quick. Opera has lots of features though, and fast as well. It's tabbed browsing is far superior to Mozilla's.

<----- Using build 0.6 on Windows XP pro SP1. Zero crashes.

they used to have it but it's disabled now. Developers said they want to improve start times and not rely on a quickloader.
