I like Linspire

this definitely won't make me popular with the AT crowd i'm sure. most of you guys probably prefer the more complicated distros. i love the way Linspire puts the whole package together. everything set up, no choices to make (kde or gnome), they did a good job on Internet Suite.

the only thing i don't like about it so far is, the fonts don't render that great.

I've seen the demo for Linspire about a year ago. It used to be called Lindows, before microsoft filed a lawsuit because it sounded and looked so Windows like.

Didn't appeal too much to me though.

ive been trying out kubuntu and now ubuntu today, kubuntu has promise but ive really really enjoyed using ubuntu. just a nice tight setup....my first true venture into linux and im seriously impressed...now if i can just get my video and sound cards working and learn to use wine ill be good to go 🙂

again, it might not be for you, but i see great potential for it, i can see marketing this big time to my clients. i've already had one client ask about linux on his pc's.

again, it might not be for you, but i see great potential for it, i can see marketing this big time to my clients. i've already had one client ask about linux on his pc's.

I was debating on whether I should install Ubuntu or not, but I like the looks of Linspire. Looks like it would be a little easier to get the hang of.

my only complaint so far is how the fonts render in the web browser, but i've only spent like 20 minutes with it, so i really haven't had time to check what all i can do to improve that.

overall, i think it will be a winner.
