the commercials are not calling their customers stupid...they are saying vonage is a smart idea. more so, so obviously smart, incredibly stupid people can make the smart decision.

Most Americans probably still have no idea what vonage is, the ads certainly don't help. All you see are silly people getting hit with some kind of box, that's how my dad described the commercials.
 
Yeah, if Vonage needs to spend marketing money anywhere, it should be informing the public about what Vonage is, what it does, and why it's good.
