I like costco pot stickers

My grandma makes home made chinese food.

It owns anything you can buy at a general fast food chinese place, and destroys frozen chinese food.

Its great.

It's not impossible.

Just unlikely, And u'd have to pay her for something u can do urself
 
I'd rather have my grandmother's mahjongg skills than her cooking abilities...she's the type that plays many times a week and knows the tile by feeling the face with her fingers...it's awesome.

*note: I've been drinking. BUT, my grandma still r0x0rs at mahjongg.

I like my mom's cooking better than my grandmother's. Granted, I tend to be a noodle-guy moreso than a rice-guy for comfort food, which falls in with my father's side, go figure. Those Chinese people with parents from different regions will know what I mean 😛

i thought Wonder Bread would be a cheaper alternative

i did try to live off with plain white bread and milk ... but it just got baddd.... ended up with $1 dinner-in-a-box / microwave entree instead.

actually, I lived off of them because they taste so damn good and they are easy to prepare. I went thru atleast a bag a week, sometimes two.

Jesus - were you eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Those bags are huge! They are tasty but after about 6 weeks I am not even halfway through my bag, and I do make them a couple of times a week.
 
I say go find yourself a local dumpling place where they handmade the dumplings and freeze them. I go to a particular one and buy 100 dumpling pack at the time. I can eat 30 in one sitting and these are good sized ones.

Oh yea definitely, when I hit up the Chinese market there are too many varieties. I never know which brand to get =P

I've only tried one brand there and I felt the Costco ones were better, but of course there are like 30 more to try that are probably all more genuine.

Supermarket ones are probably all comparable. Most likely they are machine made. You have to find stores that sell exclusively dumplings and buns and other flour related stuff.
 
The Woodmans market near me has O'TASTY brand potstickers in the freezer in the "ethnic" section. I've found these to be the best frozen potstickers I've had. They have a bit thinner skin than the ones I remember having from Costco, and they are available in different flavors. My favorite is the pork and black mushrooms.
