I like cats but...

amdhunter

Lifer
This is starting to piss me off. Every time I park at my mothers place these bastards are ruining my $20 car wash or pissing on it. WTF do I do? The owner of the lot I park at has tried trapping them, but these bastards are too smart for that.

I was thinking maybe they made cat sized glue traps?
(joking.)

Help...lol

there's nothing you can really do, I'd imagine.

you could get all kinds of repellant sprays, but they may damage your car just as much as the cats.

long term, the only solution is getting rid of the stray cats, which would be up to the parking lot owner to engage with animal control on rounding them up, eliminating their sleeping spaces/food sources, and catch/spay/release.

please keep them alive

you can try the dog options if you want

at that not working in any way you can try going to animal control

have you learned how do do a good car wash yourself

thankyou

You need to bait, capture, neuter, then release somewhere else.

While they are in the area, they could be attracting other cats and/or breeding.

Cats like to lie on warm surfaces like a turtle might sit on a hot rock in the sun.

Chances are your black paint is warm if its in the sun. So they are soaking up the heat from the engine.

It's what animals do when they are cold. I assume if summer is coming, the problem will fix itself as Cats will be warm enough.

What kind of car is that? It looks like the design engineer was drunk and tried to make it look like a batmobile but failed miserably. Which explains why Catwoman incatnate is giving you the meh stare in those pics.

Winrar!

The cats are sitting on/marking your hood because you haven't claimed it as your territory. Piss on it first and they'll know to stay away.

Put freshly crushed pepper on the hood and other areas you don't want to cat to be on. Repeat it for a while until the cat learns.
