I love her other song

it goes something like "make a wish. take a chance, and fly away etc"

That's Kelly Clarkson too?! Damn.

I'm gonna have to fvck her at the earliest possible opportunity.

I like Vanessa Carlton, Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch and Kelly Clarkson. Nay ... I love them 😀

heh, has anyone heard "A thousand miles" by Vanessa Carlton? Its a great song and its only a couple of years old. I used to listen to that all the time on z100 when I used to live in New York City, rofl. Ah the memories. There were couple of other songs sung by cute young chicks at that time.

:music:Cause you know I will walk a thousand miles ... so I could just ... see ... youuu:music:

This new song isn't all that bad, its pretty good. I remember Kelly Clarkson on American Idol heh, that was a great season.

People who have the predominantly "accepted" great voice are very rarely interesting to me. I like voices that a lot of people would consider to be "bad" voices. Like kurt Kobain. Something with personality. Not just trying to sound the best, be original. Never has there been a singer on this ghey a$$ show who has interested me in the slightest.

Maybe if she went out and got a decent producer like Madonna did with William Orbit or like Brittney Spears did with "Slave 4 U" then I would like it. Its more about the music for me, a good voice and cheasy, typical production doesn't do it for me. No matter how good the voice is, the beat makes the track.

Jeesh, its a catchy song and that is sung really well, nothing wrong with that. Does not mean that you have to buy the cd and her concert shirt at Sam Goody.

I like Kelly Clarkson, have since the first season of AI. For some reason AT doesn't seem to like her in previous threads, so I'm surprised at this thread. I've heard people call her ugly and pig nosed, which just doesn't make any sense to me. Anyway, produced or not, you have to give credit to the folks on AI for being able to actually sing, unlike Brittney etc. You can't really fake it when you're up there competing like that, live. If you can't sing, you don't make it.

I naturally assumed all American Idol byproducts would be garbage, but this song and the rest of the CD really isn't too bad. If more modern "pop" music was this good, the recording industry might actually have a product worth selling (although not for $20 per CD)

Can she sing the blues?

How should I know? Is that a serious question?

Ditto.

Why is it so catchy, damnit!? 🙂

Incidentally, I first heard the song while flipping through the channels and had to pause 'cause I though Whoa, who's this hotty? Wait, is that Kelly Clarkson? Hmm... I'll watch this.

Part of the appeal IMHO is the fact that she sings her heart out on the song. Her voice is strong even when she is singing as loud as she is. Listen to the SNL clip above and you will know what I am talking about. That is as live as it gets, btw so no one start.

Now compare to a Britney song, dont even factor in if you like the song or not, the delivery is plan boring.

I like the damn song however don't expect me to tell any real people that.
