He buys freaking LAPTOPS off ebay... and whole computers. Then he tells me he doesn't need state of the art "Athlon 64s or Pentium Ds or DUAL CORE" and that he's anti-technology. The only reason he needs a computer is so he can do his hw.

So he buys OLD STUFF

Like last year he spent money on Athlon XP processor and a Tyan motherboard (WTF) and he ended up spending the same amt he would have if he went to Fry's and grabbed a Sempron 2800+ deal. Idiot.

Now he's looking on ebay because he wants a tablet. He says I spend too much money. Yes I do. I buy an Opteron 170 because I enjoy spending my money on electronics, not a bottle of grey goose every weekend.

I don't get why people spend say $100 on old computer parts (not as in USED but OLD OLD OUTDATED old) when you can spend say $150 for something up to date and 2 - 3x faster. I just don't understand.

He's looking at laptops and he's looking at DELL LAPTOPS on EBAY. I mean how stupid are you. He refuses to buy off of dell and use slickdeals. Hello? THose laptops on ebay are laptops that I BUY after reading SLICKDEALS so I can PROFIT$$$$$ because of idiots like him who ebay 24/7....

Dumb. It makes sense to ebay things like current technology, but to ebay things that are old or to ebay things that can be bought through discounts, that is plain retarded.
 
I've learned to ignore ignorance.. some people are seriously willing to pay more even though it's easier to get a better deal.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather use my Pentium M Banias and go party with some grey goose every weekend with the guys and girls than sit at home on weekends with my Opteron...
 
It's his money, he can't do whatever the hell he wants with it. Mind your own fvcking business and stop acting like a bitch.
 
Apparently my Athlon XP is "OLD OLD OUTDATED old". I guess I should tell that to all the games that still run fine on it.
 
He is the type of ebayer us sellers like. Nothing like stupid people paying $500 for a 4 year old laptop, or selling an ibook for a profit. (I bought an ibook for ~$800, after using it for a few months sold it for ~$950.)
 
I don't get it. To me, it sounds like he gets what he needs and saves money. If he only needs a computer to do homework on, then he can technically run on a Pentium 3 and save some cash. Why spend money on an AMD 64, dual core, etc. when he never plans on utilizing it?

Granted, if he could get better/new items for the same amount of money or less (such as thru Dell + discounts), then he's a fool. But chances are, he just not aware of the deals.

BTW, I've been running on an AMD sub-1Ghz machine for over a year now. Works fine.
