Because those b@stards save it until I am ready to kill them!

Amazon touts free sheeping with orders over X amount of dollars. Okay, I'll get that. No problem, they say they ship with FedEx, calling it the "super saver" shipping. So I go online last Friday night (I ordered the package from Amazon Thurdsay night) to see if they shipped it yet.

Here is the tracking so far:
Aug 2, 2003 6:39 pm
Arrived at FedEx Ramp
RALEIGH NC

3:28 pm
Left FedEx Sort Facility
MEMPHIS TN

11:27 am
Arrived at Sort Facility
MEMPHIS TN

Aug 1, 2003 8:38 pm
Left FedEx Sort Facility
FORT WORTH TX

7:08 pm
Left FedEx Origin Location
ADDISON TX

9:42 am
Pickup status
ADDISON TX
Pre-routed meter pkg picked up

So you can see, they got it here pretty damn quick for it not being overnight. But they haven't moved the package all day today! The FedEx hub is like only 8 miles away! If I wasn't stuck in work all day, I would have driven over there and asked for the package.

BTW, can I do that?

Pay for expedited shipping, get it when you pat for it.

Pay for Super Saver shipping, get it when FedEx feels like it.

The last time I tried to order something from Amazon.com I got the Super Saver shipping too. A week later my stuff never came so I checked to see if it had shipped and it had not, so I checked to see what was out of stock. Nothing. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited some more. Another week goes by and no stuff, so I check again and it still hadn't shipped, but everthing was still in stock, so on day sixteen I cancelled my order, which still had not shipped, and got it from Buy.com. Got here in a week. Haven't ordered from Amazon.com since.

No, but I am 10 mintues away from it (the FedEx center).
I won't be home to sign for it, so I am wondering who to call and them to save their gas.

If the package went by camel, then I would understand. You see, I thought the trip from TX to NC would take more time. But because the package was already there Saturday evening, I could have picked up then.

I guess my complaint is that they were so speedy to deliver it to the location 20 minutes from my house, but they can't seem to find the time to deliver now.

I've tried this before; it doesn't work. You'll have to wait for them to attempt delivery at least once, and then call them about the package. They leave a little paper slip on your door with a contact number and a couple delivery options. I usually just call them and tell them to hold it, and go pick it up that night - the place is less than half an hour away.

damn dude relax. So what if your 10 min away from the center that doesnt mean you are going get your package any faster. Super Saver takes longer than 2 days. If you wanted 2 day delivery you should have paid for it.
