Is it possible to run DDR RAM in an overclocked Abit KT7A? Would it work or is the whole format for DDR RAM completely different than SDRAM?? I have not tried it yet.

No, the memory interface on the KT133A chipset wouldnt even know how to 'speak' to DDR SDRAM properly.
besides that, conventional SDRAM is usually 168pin, whereas all DDR SDRAM is 184pin. They wouldnt even fit in the DIMM sockets.
