I went to install Mplayer from freshrpms.net from the REdhat9 shrike area and I downloaded them, switched to linux and I double click on it and nothing happens. A thing will apear that says "processing" but it doesn't do anything and I'm wondering why or how?
Then I thought "Maybe I have to be in the CLI" and I typed: RPM libpostproc-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm and instead it gave me a list of commands.
I tried:
RPM -f libpostproc-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm
RPM -f --libpostproc-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm
rpm -f|-libpostproc-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm
rpm -f|--libpostproc-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm
btw here are the files if you are wondering
libpostproc-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm
mplayer-0.90-fr2.i386.rpm
mplayer-fonts-1.0-fr1.noarch.rpm
mplayer-skins-1.3-fr1.src.rpm
Umm...so what is it because now I'm thoroughly confused
How do you install a RPM in linux....
